Ana Luísa Guimarães Ana Luísa Guimarães has a degree in Film Editing from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema of Lisbon, where she currently lectures in the directing department. A founder of Trópico Filmes, and the producer of feature films O Sangue (1989) by Pedro Costa, and Uma Rapariga no Verão (1986) by Vítor Gonçalves, among others. In 1992, she directed the feature A Nuvem . In television, she was art director for the series Riscos (1997), shown on RTP, and was acting coach for the soap Todo o Tempo do Mundo (1999), broadcast by TVI. In the theatre, she staged in 2000 the opera O Boticário , with a libretto by Goldoni and music by Haydn, produced by the Teatro Nacional de São João, in Oporto; and La Casa de Bernarda Alba , by Federico García Lorca, at the Teatro Municipal São Luiz, in Lisbon in 2005; and, more recently, John Patrick Shanley's Doubt at the Teatro Municipal Maria Matos, in Lisbon in 2007. |
